Why You Feel Flat Right Now

People keep saying the same thing to me.

“I feel flat.”

“Disconnected.”

“Like something shut off.”

“I’m not depressed exactly. Just blank.”

And almost everyone assumes something is wrong with them.

There isn’t.

What’s happening is that the old stories stopped working.

Not just personal stories, but the big ones. The ones that told you who you were, what mattered, what success looked like, where meaning lived. Job. Relationship. Family role. Identity. Hustle. Endurance. Survival.

Those stories were never neutral.

They were extraction systems.

They siphoned creative intelligence, psychic intelligence, into maintaining structures that benefit very few while keeping most people struggling for basic human needs like housing, safety, food, and medical attention.

When those stories begin to dissolve, it doesn’t feel liberating at first.

It feels like loss.

Because what’s actually dropping away is the narrative layer that used to explain your life to you.

And without it, you’re left in something unfamiliar.

I call it the Between.

The Between isn’t spiritual bliss. It’s perceptual honesty. It’s the moment when you can see the scaffolding that used to hold reality together, and realize it was never solid in the first place.

That realization doesn’t feel good.

It feels disorienting to discover that almost everything you thought was “you” was downloaded. Emotional scripts. Aspirations. Fears. Definitions of worth. Even many of your thoughts.

Most of that wasn’t authored locally.

It came from a shared non-physical field, what some traditions call the Akashic Field, a collective intelligence layer where ideas, images, solutions, fears, and impulses circulate constantly.

That’s where “aha” moments come from.

That’s where brilliance comes from.

That’s where invention comes from.

We are not cut off from it.

We are immersed in it.

We are non-physical beings first, temporarily navigating a physical interface that feels solid only because the story says it is.

Psychic capacity isn’t special. It’s native.

Telepathy isn’t a party trick. It’s baseline communication beneath language.

Interaction with non-physical intelligence isn’t rare. It’s constant, most people just don’t recognize it because they’ve been trained to dismiss it or funnel it into productivity, profit, or survival anxiety.

The problem isn’t that our abilities shut down.

It’s that they were hijacked.

Most people learned very early that their creative and psychic intelligence was only valued if it could be converted into labor, compliance, or usefulness inside an inverted system.

So when those stories start to collapse, the system loses its grip, and people feel empty.

Flat.

Disconnected.

They think their intuition is gone.

It isn’t.

What’s gone is the distortion.

Psychic ability isn’t meant to run at full volume all the time. It isn’t meant to entertain, impress, or constantly generate meaning. It’s a navigation system.

It comes online when needed, in the moment, in response to a real question or a clear intention.

When you stop feeding it into story maintenance, it quiets, not because it’s weaker, but because it’s no longer being exploited.

That quiet feels terrifying if you’ve been taught that noise equals guidance.

But what’s actually happening is recalibration.

You’re no longer running borrowed stories.

You’re no longer animating systems that don’t serve you.

You’re no longer mistaking urgency for truth.

Psychic clarity without narrative scaffolding feels stark.

There’s no drama to hide in.

No justification loop.

No spiritual costume to wear.

Just perception.

And perception is honest.

This is why people try to rush out of the Between. They want a new identity, a new belief system, a new meaning package to replace the old one.

But the Between isn’t a waiting room.

It’s a stripping point.

A place where you discover that what you are doesn’t require a story to function.

You don’t lose your psychic abilities here.

You recover them, cleanly.

They become precise. Contextual. Intentional.

Used when needed.

Silent when not.

Aligned instead of compulsive.

This isn’t enlightenment.

It isn’t ascension.

It isn’t transcendence.

It’s sovereignty.

And it’s uncomfortable because a sovereign being is very hard to exploit.

If you feel flat right now, you’re not broken.

You’re between stories.

And that’s the only place where your real intelligence can come back online without being stolen.
